In a bayside ceremony led by Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore, Kristi and Amir pledged their eternal love and faithful commitment in marriage. They composed their own vows, expressed before God and a few cherished guests. Great Officiants suggested their minister as well as the venue — a lovely spot at the end of the Belmont Shore peninsula in Long Beach. The few rain-drops that fell on this late October nuptial felt like the very kiss of God’s blessing.
If you live in Minnesota and wish to get married in the most beautiful spot on earth, you come to “Little Corona del Mar” in Newport Beach, and that’s just what Great Officiants recommended to Anna King and Greg Davis. They and their three “blended” children came to SoCal for theme-park exploration and, most importantly, their sacred vows of marriage. Rev. Dr. Gary Barmore, also recommended by Great Officiants, brought the blessing of God upon their love and commitment to life together, in a natural cathedral of spectacular rock formations, crashing surf and blue sky. Following the Sunday morning ceremony, they asked Pastor Barmore, as a long-time local, if it would rain on their afternoon of activities before heading back home on Monday. He said, “no rain” — and thereby will always be regarded by Greg and Anna as a wonderful minister but a poor prognosticator of weather, given the rainy day it became.
Hannah Shaw and David Castellanos picked just the right day of the week for their marriage ceremony: Monday!
Hannah Shaw and David Castellanos picked just the right day of the week for their marriage ceremony: Monday! Their chosen venue, Seal Beach near the Reef Cafe and jetty, was quite vacant for a beautiful mid-day in July, and their thirty guests had an excuse for an extended weekend, spending the day with this delightful couple. The Rev Dr Gary Barmore of Great Officiants made his way across the sand, donned his clergy robe, and led a ceremony that David and Hannah as well as their parents (pictured), family and friends found inspiring for the happy couple and their own lives as well. Dr. Barmore has oft noted that weddings are now one of the few times people actually sit/stand still — not in front of a screen, game or TV but in the presence of a loving event — and that the couple thus offers folks around them a great opportunity to reflect on life and love and make re-commitment to deep relationships.
Not your usual folks, Manolo Fregoso and Kimberly Cope, who exchanged sacred vows on Balboa Peninsula, over-looking the vast Pacific Ocean. They are in the best sense “hipsters” and at the same time they are deeply committed to God and to following Jesus their Lord. Joined by family and friends, and led by Rev Dr Gary Barmore of Great Officiants, the couple read beautiful “love letters” to each other and then pledged their everlasting love.
For their wedding over-looking the surf in Huntington Beach on Sunday afternoon April 17, Nathan Gayton and Alina Castro were thankful for four things: that her father was well enough to attend and escort the bride (that’s him in photo); that her maid-of-honor made it all the way from Ventura, almost on time; that Rev Dr Gary Barmore of Great Officiants met with them, planning and conducting the perfect ceremony of love, commitment and joy; and most of all, they were thankful for each other and their deep appreciation for the love given by God to live out every day of their life together.

It was a stunningly beautiful day on the Santa Monica Beach for the March 26 wedding of a stunningly beautiful couple. Great Officiants not only provided Rev Dr Gary Barmore to lead the ceremony, but set up a beautiful floral arch through which the guests could see the couple as well as all the sailboats on the bay. Pastor Barmore overheard the groom, Nicolas Penate exclaim in wonder as his bride Magdelena Ayon was escorted across the sand to the altar by her father. Her dress was indeed exquisite and Nic looked pretty dapper himself. The ceremony contained drama, laughter, serious commitment, love and joy. The photos attached are (1) the groom, his parents and Dr Barmore, and (2) the couple showing their affectionate appreciation for their officiant.

Paul and Katherine Sewing traveled from the Midwest for a ceremony of marriage renewal scheduled for Sunday afternoon December 20 at the stunning venue of “Little Corona del Mar” in Newport Beach. Paul (only telling Katherine that it was a family photo shoot) secretly secured from Great Officiants the services of Rev.Dr.Gary Barmore, and now all the family needed to be concerned about were the bands of rain showers striking Southern California. Not to worry. As this photo reveals, the coast was clear of precipitation and draped with lush and warming clouds, gilded by the setting sun. The gorgeous site and romantic ceremony were perfect for Paul’s anniversary surprise to Katherine his bride of thirty years, who couldn’t stop smiling with glowing appreciation for her life-long groom.
