Officiant Beth had the honor of marrying Joaquin and Renee Mesa on Friday March 27, 2015 with a sunset beach wedding in Long Beach, California.
The weather was picture-perfect; warm and not too windy. It's always windy at the beach, but it was unusually calm. The spot is perfect for beach weddings as it has a beautiful view of downtown Long Beach and the Palos Verdes peninsula. Except for a few remaining winter sand berms, the spot is perfect.
Renee looked very beautiful in her wedding dress. Her crystal and pearl sandals were perfect for a beach wedding. Joaquin’s tuxedo was sharp and formal, and he looked extremely handsome.
The ceremony, customized by Officiant Beth, was performed in a semi-formal Hawaiian-Style including the blowing of the Conch shell, the receiving of Leis (supplied by Beth) the hand Lei ceremony and the "blending of the sands". The ceremony was true to Hawaiian custom, but was warm, loving, and a little funny. Maritza, Joaquin’s sister, worked with Beth to plan the custom ceremony while Joaquin was deployed. Joaquin and Renee, as well as their family and friends really enjoyed the wedding.
All of us at Great Officiants congratulates Joaquin and Renee and wish them much love and happiness in their future together.

A Runaway Best Man ???
Roger married a really great couple Alex & Veronica this last Saturday at the Ports O Call Restaurant overlooking the water in San Pedro.

It was a picture perfect day. The only problem was that the best man was a no-show…… He was Alex’s best friend and Alex was concerned because this would never happen on a day like his wedding day ! So just before the wedding started, Alex was visibly distraught so Roger and him took a walk and chatted about what was important that day and the everything would turn out fine in the end. And sure enough, the Best Man made it….. late, but he made it and the day finished on a high note!!!

A Classic Wedding And A Classic Pose…….
Roger’s couple Alex & Bertha that got married on the beach of Santa Monica this last weekend had the classic wedding. A beautiful beach wedding set up by Beth at Lei Of Love with a small, intimate gathering of friends and family.

It was a perfect wedding and right at the end after Roger announced them husband and wife and that Alex may now kiss his bride, Alex suddenly takes his new bride and dips her with the kiss!! It was the perfect ending to a classic wedding with a classic pose!!

Our Beach Wedding Coordinator, decided to fill us in on her amazing beach ceremonies this past weekend below!
“This past weekend’s Great Officiant’s Beach Weddings were great and international!
First, a Long Beach wedding for a lovely Australian couple. Aimee and Alison had family and friends flying the Australian flag and a rainbow flag on to the beach. Standing in this beautiful heart of rose petals their wasn’t a dry eye on the beach during their ceremony! And then in true Aussie fashion, the whooping and hollering began as the entire group posed for a sunset photo!

Friends and family placed beach colorful pails filled with goodies on the chairs at another Great Officiant’s beach wedding at Point Dume in Malibu! And Father Geoff, another Great Officiant, waits calmly for Connie and Marc to arrive under one or our Bamboo arch designs and the bluest of skies! Creating beach weddings up and down the coast in LA and Orange County is fun and fulfilling to the soul!”
