A Review from the Sands of Long Beach to Octavio

1Here is a great review from a happy couple Octavio married on the sand on 69th street in Long Beach:

"Dear Alan,

We would like to express our gratification  and take a moment to praise Octavio in doing an exceptional job in performing such a heart felt beach ceremony for us in Spanish. It touched every one of us.

He definitely exceeded both our expectations in making our fairy tale wedding better than we had envisioned.  The entire wedding party fell in love with his charm and soothing energy easing our nerves and making the process so enjoyable and magnificent for all.

Gracias Octavio for an unforgettable day! Your grace will forever be in our hearts.

A Fun Beach Wedding at Point Dume, by Michael

Date: 2/14/15

Location: Point Dume State Beach

City: Malibu

Kevin and Kim were such a fun couple and it was a pleasure to perform their ceremony.  Like many of our couples they were coming to us from out of state and we were happy to have them.

We did their ceremony planning session over the phone and I customized our Catholic Light ceremony to make it fit exactly what they were looking for.  When I met with them in Malibu I issued them their marriage license and then headed out near the water to perform their ceremony.

Afterwords they were nice enough to leave the below review for us on Wedding Wire:

"Michael Thieling was our officiant and did a wonderful job. We arranged everything from out of state and he was both professional and very personable. He helped us pick the perfect ceremony and made suggestions that made it a wonderful experience. My new husband and I would highly recommend him as a wedding officiant. He is warm, kind and very good at his profession. Thanks Michael for making our special day perfect!!!"
My pleasure guys!!!!!IMG_1533

A Beautiful, Intimate Beach Wedding

Roger married Matt & Michelle last Saturday on the sand in Huntington Beach.  It was a wonderful, intimate wedding and it went off without a hitch……. And that was all due to mother nature !  As all Southern Californian’s know, we have had tons of rain this last week and Roger’s couple were flying in from Illinois and were a nervous wreck that their "California Beach Wedding” was not to be.  Well, Roger assured them that it was going to be nice weather by the weekend (fingers were crossed) and he held his word.  It was the perfect weather for a wedding !!  Everyone cried and laughed and truly enjoyed what everyone strives for with a wedding on the sand !  And the couple were over the moon happy with Roger.  Read their thank you letter.

Hey Roger,

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for Saturday!!!  You gave us such an amazing and memorable ceremony we will never forget!!  You made my day a lot less stressful as well! :))  We couldn't have asked for a better officiant!  Next time we are in Cali we want to come to your sitcom airing!

Have a good night, Mrs. Lagacyimage2image1

A cool and breezy but sunny day in Malibu

A cool and breezy but sunny day in Malibu on the beach by the Sunset Restaurant was the setting for the wedding of Thia & Chris performed by Rev. Ralph. The bride & groom presented their own personal vows, and a sand ceremony with "genuine Malibu sand" capped a love-filled afternoon.

(see their happy note below)

Dear Ralph,

Thank you so much for your kind message, and for making our day so very memorable. You performed the perfect ceremony and we will never forget how special it was. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Many blessings to you,

Thia & Chris

A touching review from a German couple

This couple had a very sad situation. They were visiting from Germany to get married here in the states. One day, their rental car was broken into and they lost everything , including the bride's dress and the rings.

Alan, the great officiant, performed a beautiful ceremony at Alamitos beach, but afterwards he called the hotel Surf and Sand in Laguna where they were staying to see what they could do to help alleviate such an unfortunate situation. This is the review the lovely couple left for him:

To Alan, the superhero……..

LGBT WEDDING TESTIMONIAL FROM LITTLE CORONA DEL MAR BEACH

Jim and Bruce came in from Georgia to get married on the beach in sunny Southern California.

They were staying in orange county so I recommended they get married on Little Corona Del Mar beach in orange county.
This beach is known for its beautiful Rocky Coves.
However due to an extreme high tide and Hurricane Maria off the coast of Baja much of the beach was underwater.

So we chose the only spot of dry land left. Surrounded by their family and friends they tied the knot.
They gave me this wonderful testimonial.

Officiant Michael’s Packed Weddings Pt 2!!!

SueAnne and Nick had a beautiful midday ceremony just up from the beach in Santa Barbara.  I got the pleasure of telling their love story to their family and friends before they tied the knot and went off to a fabulous luncheon reception.

They sent me this lovely note afterwards and we wish them all the best!

“Thank you so much for an awesome ceremony. Everyone came up to us after and asked us if you were a lifelong friend since you delivered our story so well. Everyone was laughing and crying throughout your dialog and most people said it was the best wedding they have ever been too. Again thank you and keep up the great work. It made our wedding day that much more special.”

Michael- N & R

Who doesn’t love a surprise vow renewal?  Nathan and Rachel agreed to do one every year but this time around Rachel had no idea.  Nathan told her that I was an old softball buddy of one of their friends and that we were all going out to dinner together.  But first, their friends wanted to show them a special spot on the beach.  As Nathan and Rachel walked past me he told her that none of them knew me, I was an officiant, and it was time to renew their vows.  She was shocked and the surprise went perfectly.

Afterwards, they had this to say:

We had a blast with our officiant – Michael Thieling. He helped me do a quick 10 min vow renewal on the beach by pretending to be one of my friend’s old softball buddies that we were going to dinner with. It was quick, easy, painless, and my wife was surprised and loved it.  I would (as would my wife) use Great Officiants and more specifically Mike again anytime and highly recommend them!”

Mark and Brandon’s story was amazing, as was their ceremony at the beautiful Disney Concert Hall.  After I told their love story, the couple exchanged arras (coins), performed a sand ceremony, and of course said their vows and I Do’s.  The finale, however, might have been the most special – Mark surprised Brandon with a professional vocalist who performed Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love” – a personal concert for two.  I then had the pleasure to go to their wonderful reception at Lexington Social House for an unforgettable party!

Afterwards, they left the following review for Great Officiants:  http://www.weddingwire.com/reviews/great-officiants-long-beach/1baffbabd5438059.html

Thank you so much gentlemen, I look forward to seeing you both again soon!

Terrence and Jessica was so fun and there were lots of laughs all around.  After I recounted their courtship story, they exchanged vows, I Do’s, rings and followed it all up with a huge Sand Ceremony that incorporated their four children.  Afterwards I proclaimed that I married Derek Jeter to Mariah Carey – they’re dead ringers. They day after their ceremony, Terrence texted me this:

“Hello Michael, this is Terrence and Jessica.  We just wanted to thank you again for doing such a GREAT job.  Every one commented on how great you did.  It was truly an honor to have you part of our most special day.” The honor was all mine guys!
