Ranch wedding

Weddings up and down the coast from Malibu to Del Mar.

It is a good thing that I drive a Prius. I put a lot of miles on my car going from Wedding to Wedding  this weekend I had weddings all over the place and it was a blast. From a simple beach wedding to a wedding at our new wedding chapel to the beautifully designed weddings I did it all.

Beach weddings on the beach or overlooking the water, are very special to me. And when I get an opportunity to do one that makes me very happy. When I’m surrounded by trees and laughter that makes me very happy. So being the guy who does weddings in Southern California, I’m a happy guy.

Here’s some pictures from the wedding as I did this weekend  and a couple testimonials.

Officiant Woody’s Fabulous Ceremonies Pt. 1

Blog-Woody1Woody married John and Sabrina at Point Dume in Malibu. Luckily, the wedding ceremony went much smoother than the pictures!

Blog-Woody2

Is that Woody with William Randolph Hearst and Marion Davies? No, it’s Angela & Michael just after they were married by Woody at the Marion Davies Guest House in Santa Monica. This gorgeous venue was built in the 1920s by William Randolph Hearst for beautiful actress Marion Davies.

Woody sometimes feels like a Traveling Minister going from ranch to ranch performing weddings. Here he is with Alma and Juan in Agoura Hills at the serene Peter Strauss Ranch. And of course, no wedding is complete without the obligatory paparazzi shot!

Woody does so many weddings at the Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, they will soon be naming a horse after him! Or so he hopes! Here he is with bride and groom, Lauren and Zachary.

Officiant Michael’s Packed Wedding Weekend Pt. 1

Michael 5-9

This young couple was so fun!  While their ceremony had quite a number of guests we were in a lovely side area of Calamigos Ranch, in Malibu, which gave it an intimate, private feeling.  They exchanged personal vows which contained more than one Disney reference to the delight and laughter of their family and friends.  Their Disney cake epitomized their celebration – carefree joy and light-hearted excitement.

How can you not have an amazing time this close to Disney Land?  Tin and Megumi’s intimate ceremony was beautifully setup in the center garden area of this castle-like hotel, the Sheraton Anaheim.  While their friends and family watched (along with some curious hotel guests), they tied the knot and began their new life together.

Grace and Scott boarded a cruise ship in Los Angeles and hopped off in Santa Barbara so that I could perform their ceremony.  Along with a friendly couple they met on the ship and their photographer, they exchanged heartfelt vows and some special readings they picked for each other on the beach.  After I pronounced them husband and wife, we sped them back to the dock just in time to re-board the ship for the rest of their vacation.

Great Officiant Michael in Corona, Temecula, Burbank and on the Beach

One of the newest Great Officiants on the team, Michael Thieling, has performed incredible ceremonies for our couples. Here are a several at some beautiful venues. Don’t miss the beautiful video by Twenty Seven Studios –

Gary and Misty at Trilogy Golf Club in Corona –

For this couple’s sand ceremony, they had a special wooden box crafted and engraved with their names.  Not only was it beautiful for the ceremony, our couples shared that these boxes make beautiful décor for their homes. More so than the traditional glass bottle – allowing them an easier time in displaying the keepsake for years to come.

Hani and Russ at the Europa Village Winery in Temecula –

This couple had rented the entire winery for their celebration – a beautiful, rustic locale where guests could roam around, explore and relax in various nooks and crannies.  We also integrated their son, Jake, into the sand ceremony, utilizing three sand containers which were all combined into the final vessel.

Brian and Susan at Calamigos Equestrian in Burbank –

It was a beautiful day as this couple gave roses to the mother’s and had some of the most heartfelt personal vows Michael has ever heard.

Here is a clip from their ceremony – http://www.twentysevenstudios.com/10-19-13-susan-and-brian/

Wendy and Angel 9/28/13 Long Beach Beach Location

This wedding, at our Great Officiants Long Beach beach location went off without a hitch, including a full Hawaiian style Lei Exchange Ceremony, that is until our groom dropped his bride’s ring in the sand.  Although it was quickly found, that was a stressful ten minutes of searching!
