Great Officiant Anthony did a 2fer in the OC this weekend

20140322 MIchelle & MichaelSo, Saturday Anthony was honored to be Officiant of record for both of these fine, small weddings!

First, Michelle and Michael (Mike) in Newport Beach. What was supposed to be a 10 +/- guest event turned into 40+!! Moved from Laguna to Newport 2X!! Finally landing on the beach just off the boardwalk, we stormed the beach and formed a big semi-circle. Opened with a prayer from Michell’s father. Included a sand pouring with the Michell’s children, Andrew, Casandra and Chrissy joining in.

Then, down to Oceanside!!

20140322 Erika Ashley AVYAnother on the beach ceremony with Erika and Ashley – and their one friend/witness Noah!

Timed it so kiss happened as the sun touched the water. (watched for the green flash but no one saw it) This was a short, basic ceremony but the energy, emotion from these two ladies was amazing!

Staying in small bungalow right on the edge of the beach, rocks, they had an a amazing view of the rest of the sunset while enjoying their first married toast! (It got cold quick and windy – got back to room fast after the kiss!)

Beautiful Point Dume Intimate Beach Wedding

Todd & Shelly

Shelly Long

Presiding Officiant, Alan Katz married this beautiful couple at the Point Dume beach in Malibu. Their children witnessed this beautiful ceremony which included the Sand Ceremony.

Here’s a brief excerpt from the Sand Ceremony:

“As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one.

Just as these grains of sand can never be separated, our prayer for you today is that your lives together would be blended like the seven seas and may your love swirl around each other like the changing tides.”

The Sand Ceremony is such a beautiful way to join a couple and include family members within the wedding ceremony.  Best wishes to this lovely family!

Roger Had A Model Wedding at Hotel Laguna

Roger had a model wedding this last Saturday………….literally !! Both the groom and bride have and had been models ! Big time, Paris Runway models !!! The wedding was on the beach at the Hotel Laguna and it was a beautiful ceremony ! As you can see in the picture, it’s hard to tell who is the groom and who is Roger ! Chalk up another great wedding for Great Officiants!

Huntington beach wedding on the sand with Anthony.

Anthony Reports…

I had the privilege to be the Officiant of record for Nicholas and AngelinaHB1! This was  a small, wonderful wedding with 20+/- guests on the sand across the ‘people bridge’ from Huntington Beach Hyatt.

The couples daughters, Kylie and Cadence served and wedding party/ring bearers, each carrying one ring in a gold sea shell filled with black sand.

The guest formed a semi-circle around us and we just jumped right in!

Cadence was more interested in burying the flower pedals and drawing in the sand but -when we called her name as asked for ring, she as all business!

The weather was amazing and a good time was had by all!

A beautiful wedding in La Jolla by the beach.

Cassie and Rob want to be fun ceremony completely customized to them. They chose our “Greatest” package. They filled out questionnaire and I wrote a ceremony all about them. I added passages about the beach and incorporated their love story into it.

The venue Scripps Seaside Forum was a delightful place just above the ocean.
They had a live band, and electric violinist, a beautiful set up inside, a cool cakeand out and free flowing drinks all night.

Great Officiant Roger’s Wedding Went To The Dogs!

Our Officiant Roger had a fantastic wedding March 8th at the Big Red Sun in Venice. Roger2Coupleanddog He married Wendy and Steven, a lovely couple who had their Boston Terrier in the wedding.

Now this dog was a very big part of their life together. The couple wanted her to march up to Roger to offer the rings.  The problem was their little terrier was partly Peroni” dog treat (that he had brought with him just in case) and rubbed it in his hands and the dog walked right up to him with the rings! Success! We believe Great Officiants is voted dog’s best friend!

Matt and Kristine Married by Great Officiant Tim

On a gorgeous February 28th, Kristine and Matt renewed their vows in Laguna Beach at the Gazebo in Heisler Park.  Finally all their family could see them vow their love to one another. It’s been a long time coming and everyone (even onlookers) were very excited for them! To make the day even better, the rain took a break just for them!
